Prioritizing conservation action in the Northern Applachian/Acadian ecoregion is a challenge that can be assessed at the scale of 10 kilometer square (1000ha) by assessing the conservaiton irreplaceability of each unit and comparing this to the threat of land transformation from human development, both today and under future growth scenarios.
